The Supercar Story Part 3 of 5
In our last newsletter we introduced the documentary produced by my old friend Mark Stewart for the Smithsonian Networks channel in the USA which I was fortunate enough to host. Rather than show you part 2, which features (guess what?) the defining Sixties supercar- the Miura- we’ll save that for another day and move straight on to the supercars of the 1970s and ‘80s.
Behind the scenes we had to work around one of them behaving like a true supercar and…”failing to proceed”. You’ll see which one it was. But driving an F40 flat out on the public highways of a car-crazy Gulf state (with full permission from the powers that be) was, well, rather fun. It makes driving in Europe seem rather tame in comparison.
