The ex-Count Castelbarco
1925 Bugatti Type 35A
Chassis no. 46601925 Bugatti Type 35A
- Believed to have spent its entire life in Italy
- Correct appearance in every respect
- From long term private ownership
- Eligible for world class events
This Type 35A is thought to have spent the majority of its life in just two ownerships, first that of Count Luigi Castelbarco, who claimed to have driven it on the Targa Florio, and latterly a longstanding private collector of great repute. It was acquired some 35 years ago and has never been entirely restored. Chassis, engine and bodywork are all believed to be original, and the car has never given any trouble. A report from historian David Sewell notes no anomalies or gaps. It is rare to find an unspoilt racing Bugatti- this is just such a motor car.
