Coachwork by Pininfarina
Engine no. 12049
Price €275,000
- One of just 150 examples made, available in 1968-1969 only
- Originally Grigio Ortello (grey), still trimmed with its original black leather
- Offered for the first time from 25 years in the same discreet ownership
- An appreciating and highly coveted rarity for Ferrari collectors
One of just 150 cars built, this elegant, understated granturismo combines the best of two worlds: classic Pininfarina styling with 4.4 litre V12 power to almost match a Daytona’s performance without the angular features or added weight of the later model. For that reason alone the 365GTC is a sought-after rarity amongst Ferrari collectors, and few examples can have led more sedate lives than this one which has remained in Italy since the day it was delivered in December 1968 via dealer Motor SAS of Bologna, finished in Grigio Ortello (grey, ref. 2.443.813) with black leather upholstery.
In the present ownership for the past quarter century, and virtually unused during that time, it has been maintained by an old school Ferrari mechanic and was repainted in Pininfarina’s deep Rosso Cherry early on. Showing 85,375km on the odometer which the car’s condition supports as genuine, fitted with optional air conditioning and with its factory jack still in place in the boot, this is a handsome, hard to find Ferrari which is offered now for the first time on the market.
